 FREEWRITING- My first day at University (21/09)

I was really nervous and wanted to give a good impression. Also, my morning was busy because I had to take the dog to the vet, not my dog, my friend's dog and buy some books for class. I dressed to try to impress the teachers and noticed that I didn't actually match with other people's style. And also, because I was wearing long jeans and a shirt I was really hot and got really sweatty walking here. Was a bit worried they wouldn't turn on the ac until someone did and I could finally breath. The teachers were really nice, but I didn't really know what to expect from the rest of the year.

  1. When did it happend? Between 1775 and 1783.
  2. Wich day it's celebrated? 4th of July.
  3. Who were involved? Great Britain (with Quebec, American Loyalist, Hanover and 6 German States) and the 13 original colonies (supported by France, Spain, the Duch Republic and Mysore).
  4. Why do they wanted it? Beacuse there wasn't colonial representation on the Great Britain Parlament.

1-Paragraph to structure (28/09)
A paragraph is a writting unit structured in a variable number of sentences that are related to a single topic.
Between 5 to 10 sentences.
Yes, 1st topic sentence, 2nd supporting sentence and 3rd concluding sentence.
The way a paragraph is linked together are by: content/semantics (all the sentences relate to the same idea); and formal/grammar (repetition cohesions in the sentences, linkers/connectors).

2-Example paragraph (28/09)
1st-Topic and controlling idea that is developed later. Not too general nor too specific 
2nd, 3rd and 4th- develop and support the topic sentence
2nd- concrete statements + statistics
4th- more extra details
5th- summarrize the sentences and mention again the topic
